Staff Profile

Hello!

My name is Daniella Parisi, and I am so excited to be the High School Social Studies Teacher at Westgate! I was born and raised in New Jersey and graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2017 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in History Secondary Education. I started my teaching career at Ocean Township High School in New Jersey where I taught AP European History, World History, and Mythology and World Religions. Although I love the Jersey shore, Taylor ham, and bagels, I decided to up and move to Colorado in 2021 with my partner and our two dogs, chasing all the beauty that Colorado has to offer. I continued my teaching career as an online remote teacher and then as a teacher of social studies at Arvada West High School, where I taught World Geography and World History. I am very much looking forward to teaching courses such as US History, Government, and Financial Literacy!

I love to cook, cuddle up with a good book (and my 8 lb chihuahua), and be outside in nature. In 2023 my partner and I invested in an off-grid cabin on 12 acres of land in Westcliffe, CO. It is my favorite place to be and most of my weekends are spent there. Coming from a small town and school myself, I am really looking forward to being a part of the Westgate community!
