Volunteer Opportunities
Our school has a very active parent community and you are invited to join us. We consider contributions of time and energy to be just as important as financial contributions. Every bit helps and we appreciate your contribution to the continued success of Westgate Community School.

Background Checks
As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe environment for our students, staff, and volunteers, we require all volunteers who will be volunteering in the building, chaperoning a field trip, traveling with students or working with students to have a current background check on file through our partnership with Sterling Volunteers.
All volunteer background checks are valid for 12 months. Click the button below to complete the background check. Volunteers pay fees directly to Sterling Volunteers. The current cost is $20.95. All volunteers are welcome. Payment assistance is available and will be kept confidential. Contact [email protected] to discuss options.
Please note that this practice aligns with best practices for K-12 schools, and many educational institutions across the country employ similar measures to uphold safety standards.
