Staff Profile

My name is Autumn Washington and I am the School Counselor of Westgate Community School. I am absolutely thrilled to be serving the awesome students and families of Westgate this year. When I am not serving as the School Counselor, I am typically hiking, snowboarding, spending time with my family, or exploring new restaurants in Denver.

 

I began working with youth, ages 0-21, 11 years ago and have continued this passion through different avenues and roles. Previously, I have had the honor and privilege of serving military youth and their families for 7.5 years at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora. I have also served as a Student Resource Specialist at the Community College of Aurora, which fostered much of my growth in high education systems and concurrent enrollment. In all of my roles with working with youth and young adults, I have assisted in college/career planning, guided academic success, promoted healthy lifestyles, and fostered personal growth through social and emotional development.
