Staff Profile

Hello! I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia and moved to Denver after I graduated from the University of North Georgia with my undergrad in Middle Grades Education (4th-8th grades). I have taught in DPS for the last nine years as a middle grades' literacy teacher. In 2022, I received my Master's in Literacy Education where I expanded on my passion for literacy and learned more in depth about foundational reading skills and the Science of Reading. All things literacy is my passion, and I am so lucky that I get to work in a job that lets me geek out every day with students and colleagues alike.  

 

Outside of school, I love hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, and hanging out with my husband, Jeff, and our dog, Beulah.
