As we transition seasons in Colorado we go through some extreme cold and heat. Each year 7% of global deaths are related to extreme cold and a half million deaths are related to extreme heat. How can we create solutions to help those in our community who face extreme heat and cold?
Week 1: Routines, Expectations, Define and empathize our problem
Week 2: Design poster to promote safe outfits for fridged temperatures.
Week 3: Design insulating cold weather shelters. Test original designs, collaborate and modify design prototypes.
Week 4: Develop final prototype to help people who might experience extreme cold. Prepare presentations and present to a small group of educators.
