Hello families! We had a great week in 2nd grade! Here is what we will be learning in math the week of November 18th:  

This week we will be starting chapter 6 which is building on fluently subtracting within 100. Students will be learning a variety of strategies to help them as they learn the most efficient way to subtract large numbers.  

Our math focus this week: 

• Use models to subtract 2-digit numbers 

• Subtract 2-digit numbers 

• Use addition to check subtraction 

• Practice two-digit subtraction

Hello families! We have a had a great week in 2^nd grade! Here is what we will be learning in math the week of August 19^th:

At the beginning of the week, we will be wrapping up the chapter on arrays and odd and even numbers.

Starting on Wednesday, we will be learning about addition and adding in any order. We will also talk about using doubles when necessary and finishing the week adding three numbers.  I will be sending home the parent letter with more information, be on the lookout for it in their Friday folder.

Hello families! We have a had a great first week in 2^nd grade! Here is what we will be learning in math the week of August 12^th:

We will be taking the MAP math test on Wednesday August 14^th

In this chapter we will be focusing on numbers and arrays. We will be learning about odd and even numbers as well as how to create equal groups. This will lead us into learning about repeated addition which is the base of multiplication. I will be sending home the parent letter with more information, be on the lookout for it in their Friday folder.
