Greetings 7th Grade Social Studies Families!

We began our first week by setting the class up and then beginning a lesson on why we study history. Students will finish that up on Monday.

We will then begin our first unit by completing a pre-assessment on the topics we will be uncovering. That includes a review of the 5 themes of geography, G.R.A.P.E.S., primary vs. secondary sources and an introduction to the characteristics of civilizations.

Students will be taking their MAPS tests on Wednesday the 17th, so there will be no class that day. Students should do their best to be to school on time, well-rested and with a good breakfast.
